Privacy Policy
GPS for Action is built with privacy as a first principle. The app connects your iPhone to DJI Osmo Action cameras via Bluetooth to stream GPS data for video geotagging, control camera recording, and optionally save GPX tracks — all entirely on your device. No personal data is ever collected, transmitted to any server, or shared with third parties.
What We Do Not Collect
GPS for Action has no backend servers and no third-party SDKs
No Backend Servers
There are no servers associated with this app. All processing happens on your iPhone and your camera.
No Account Required
No registration, no login, no email address, no profile. The app works without knowing anything about you.
No Third-Party SDKs
The app contains no advertising SDKs, social media integrations, or third-party tracking libraries.
No Automatic Uploads
No data — GPS coordinates, GPX files, or any other content — is ever uploaded or transmitted automatically.

The following data is accessed or stored locally on your device only
Location Data
Your iPhone's GPS coordinates are read in real time and streamed directly to your DJI Osmo Action camera via Bluetooth for video geotagging. Location data is never stored on any server. It is retained in memory only for as long as the app is running. If you enable GPX recording, coordinates are written to a GPX file stored locally in the app's Documents folder on your device — and nowhere else.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is used solely to discover and communicate with DJI Osmo Action cameras. The data exchanged over Bluetooth consists of GPS coordinates and camera control commands (start/stop recording, photo capture, mode switching). No Bluetooth data is logged, stored, or transmitted to any server or third party.
GPX Track Files
GPX recording is entirely optional and off by default. When enabled, GPS tracks are saved as standard GPX files in the app's Documents folder on your device. These files are accessible through the iOS Files app. GPX files are never sent anywhere automatically — you decide if and how to share them using standard iOS sharing mechanisms (AirDrop, Files, email, etc.).
App Settings & Preferences
Your in-app preferences (such as connection settings and recording options) are stored using iOS standard UserDefaults on your device. These settings are not synced to any external server and are not accessible to any third party.
iOS Permissions
The app requests only the permissions it strictly needs to function

Location (Always / While Using) — Required to read GPS coordinates from your iPhone and stream them to the camera. The "Always" option enables background GPS streaming while the screen is off.

Bluetooth — Required to discover and connect to DJI Osmo Action cameras.

- This app does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
- Location data is processed entirely on your iPhone; it is never sent to the developer or any third party.
- GPX files you create remain under your full control in the iOS Files app. Deleting the app removes all GPX files stored in its Documents folder.
- This privacy policy applies only to GPS for Action (bundle ID: dev.ayufan.osmogpscontroller). It does not apply to DJI products or the DJI Mimo app.
- This policy may be updated from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
